Embarking on a new journey can feel scary, but taking that first step is what opens up everything. A lot of us hesitate because of fear or uncertainty, but once you click that link and show up, it gets so much easier. This is your invitation to join my morning Zoom gym and see what happens.
Understanding the Power of the First Step
Starting something new can feel intimidating. You might question if you’re ready or if it will even work. Of course you’re thinking “I’m not a morning person” and “how’s 8 minutes gonna make me look great in my swimsuit anyway?”
But for 10 years I’ve known this Zoom gym is the easiest, best way to exercise, make friends, and get about 100 extra benefits beyond just sculpted abs, a flatter stomach, better posture, and strong core. Once you join, you’ll see it’s simpler than you thought.
Strategies to Overcome Initial Hesitations
Set realistic expectations — progress takes time and that’s okay. Start small, focus on showing up and enjoying it. Surround yourself with supportive people (that’s exactly what this group is). And track your progress so you can see how far you’ve come.
It feels strange to just randomly click on a Zoom link and join — I know most people would find that awkward. If that’s you, feel free to shoot me a WhatsApp or email at evespotofgold@gmail.com and let me know you want to come. Mention any warrior hesitation you have and I’ll add it to the FAQs. Otherwise you can just click and come in. EVERYONE HAS EIGHT MINUTES. We start on time because everybody has stuff to do! If you click at 7:27 there’ll be a few people there to say hi. Come in late or leave early — that’s fine. Zoom gym understands modern life.
We do 8-minute abs at 7:30 AM EST and we also do 20 minutes of yoga at 8 o'clock if you'd like to join. This is five days a week — on Saturdays we do yoga at 9 AM. Everything’s on Zoom so you can show up exactly as you are — no makeup, no hair brushed, kids or life happening around you. Nobody’s watching you; we just say hi and move together.
Maintaining Momentum After the Start
The hardest part is usually that first click. After that, it becomes a calming routine. You’ll build confidence, feel better, and discover how good it feels to connect with others. This class is truly for everyone: gym rats with six-packs, bodybuilders, people who’ve never exercised, those with disabilities or insecurities — all welcome. We’re inclusive of every religion, every political viewpoint. No judgment. I love people & dislike snobbery! We just have fun, and many of us end up real friends outside class too. People don’t realize how much they need that simple daily “hi.”
Being myself here — my real age, no makeup, just me — took time to get comfortable with, but it’s incredibly refreshing. It won't happen often!!
